Free Carpet Samples

Why have you started charging for samples from Alternative Flooring or other manufacturers?

We have introduced a small charge for samples from Alternative Flooring and certain other manufacturers to prevent system abuse and ensure fair access for all customers. Additionally, many manufacturers have their own production and distribution costs associated with samples, which we must accommodate. To keep this fair, we have capped the charge at a maximum of £1 per sample, unless otherwise stated. For full details, please refer to Section 12 of our Terms of Service.

Are all carpet samples now chargeable?

No, Interiors By Sutton still offers up to five (5) free samples per order, but in cases where manufacturers have imposed their own sample costs, a small fee may apply.

Why can’t I order a sample of certain carpets?

A selection of carpets may not be accessible for sampling due to several reasons, including manufacturer limitations, stock constraints, or exclusive collections designated for full-size acquisitions. Kindly get in touch with us, and we will make efforts to accommodate your needs.

Can I get a refund on sample charges if I order a carpet?

Yes! If you proceed with a full carpet order through Interiors By Sutton, we will reimburse any sample charges incurred, provided the order is placed directly with us within 60 days of receiving the samples.

Why do manufacturers charge for samples?

Some manufacturers, such as Alternative Flooring, have implemented charges due to the costs involved in producing, cutting, and distributing samples. This ensures that sample requests are genuine and not exploited.

Will the colour of the sample match the final carpet exactly?

Not always. Carpet samples provide a close representation, but due to dye batch variations and manufacturing processes, slight differences in shade and texture may occur. If an exact colour match is essential, please let us know when ordering, and we will do our best to assist.

Are deliveries for samples still free?

Yes! All sample deliveries remain free of charge within the UK mainland, as outlined in Section 12 of our Terms of Service.

How many samples can I request?

You can request up to five (5) free samples per order. If manufacturers have imposed charges, we will cap the fee at £1 per sample, unless otherwise stated.

Can I request more than five samples?

How do I choose the best carpet for my space?

The best carpet depends on your needs. For high-traffic areas, durable and stain-resistant materials like nylon or polypropylene work best. For a more luxurious feel, wool is an excellent choice. If you're unsure, our team is happy to help you find the perfect fit.

Do you offer custom-sized carpets or runners?

Yes, we provide custom-sized carpets and runners to fit your specific measurements. Contact us for more details and a quote.

Can I place my order over the phone instead of online?

Yes, you can! If you prefer, you can call and speak directly to a member of our team to place your order. We're here to help and answer any questions you may have.

I found a carpet I like from a brand you carry, but it's not on your website. Can you order it for me?

Yes, we can! With so many styles and new designs constantly being released, not all of our carpets are listed on the website. Simply reach out to our team by phone or email, and we'll be happy to arrange the carpet you’re looking for.

Do you provide measurement services ?

Yes, we provide measurement services for carpets. We understand that accurate measurements are crucial to ensure the right amount of carpet is ordered and to provide a quote for the carpeting work. Our team of experts will take precise measurements of the area where the carpet will be installed, including any alcoves or recesses, to ensure that the measurements are as accurate as possible. We believe that getting the measurement right is an important part of the carpeting process, and we strive to make sure that the measurements are taken with precision and care. Ordering and Delivery

How can I order a carpet?

You can browse our collection online and place your order directly on our website. If you need assistance, our customer service team is happy to help.

Do you offer carpet samples?

Yes, we offer free samples so you can see and feel the material before making a purchase. Order samples directly from our product pages.

How long does delivery take?

Subject to availability of stock Fast Delivery is available at Interiors by Sutton. If you order by 8 a.m. Monday, or 12 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, most orders will be shipped the same day. After that, we will try to deliver your purchase within five working days of delivery (this may be longer for some areas of Scotland or offshore areas).

However, this can vary on items such as carpet, bespoke rugs and runners. This due to the preparation process and getting your order ready. This can take anywhere from 14 Working Days to 21 Working Days.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we primarily deliver within the UK. If you need international shipping, please contact us to discuss options.

How come there is a cutting charge?

Charging for cutting applies to carpets 2.5 meters or less due to minimum order length requirements by the manufacturer. No cutting charges for lengths exceeding this limit.

Carpet Installation and Care

Does your company provide fitting?

Unfortunately, our company does not provide fitting services. We specialise in manufacturing and supplying high-quality products that meet our customers' needs and expectations. While we do not provide fitting services, we can offer guidance on sizing and recommend professional fitters who can assist with fitting our products. It's important to note that proper fitting is crucial for comfort, performance, and safety, so we encourage our customers to seek fitting services to ensure they get the most out of their purchase.

How do I maintain and clean my carpet?

Regular vacuuming helps keep your carpet fresh. For spills, blot the area with a clean cloth and mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals and excessive water. We also offer stain protection treatments for added durability.

What widths do the carpet come in?

The most frequent widths are 4 metre and 5 metre. This, however, varies by manufacturer. When you purchase your carpet, we will always make it clear which width options are available.

Are your carpets stain-resistant?

Many of our carpets have built-in stain resistance. We also offer additional stain protection treatments like Intec Stain Guard, which provides long-lasting protection against spills and dirt.

Product Availability and Returns

What happens if the carpet I want is out of stock?

If a carpet is out of stock, contact us for restocking details or alternative recommendations.

Can I return or exchange my carpet?

We accept returns on unused, undamaged carpets within 14 days of delivery. Custom-sized carpets are non-refundable. Please review our return policy for more details.

Are the carpet colours on your website accurate?

We strive to display colors as accurately as possible, but variations may occur due to screen settings. Ordering a sample is the best way to ensure the right color and texture.

Bespoke Runners & Rugs Questions

How much does a Bespoke Runner or Rug cost?

All of our bespoke Runners & Rugs pricing are subjective and based on the material, size, finish, and other options available.

Can I order the Bespoke Runner Or Rug Online?

Yes. We want to be as efficient as possible as a business. The website is used to process all orders. After you've finished your payment, we'll double-check the details of your Bespoke Runner or Rug before submitting your order and getting it cut it and completed.

Can I return the Bespoke Runner or Rug after my order?

Unfortunately we can't. After your item has been made and delivered, you will not be able to return the Runner or Rug. It's a one-of-a-kind item made to your specifications. We will not accept returns once the item has been confirmed and cut.
