By placing an order with Interiors By Sutton you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

Interiors By Sutton is a trading style of Interiors By Sutton Ltd (referred to as "Interiorsbysutton.com/we/our/us"). As a user of this website (referred to as "you/your"), you understand that your use of this website, including any transactions you make, is governed by the Terms and Conditions set forth below.

1. General

1.1 These Terms & Conditions are subject to change at any time. It is your obligation to read the Terms and Conditions each time you visit this website, and your continuous use of the website signifies your acceptance of the most recent Terms and Conditions.

1.2 If you are not a consumer, you confirm that you have the authority to bind any business on whose behalf you use this website.

1.3 Certain internet features will need registration, and subsequent access to those services will be restricted to a username and password that have been approved ("Password Details"). You must submit correct and complete information on this website. All Password Details are accepted, but we reserve the right to remove them at any time. They are personal to you, non-transferable, and must be kept private at all times. You must notify us promptly if you have any concerns about your Password Details or become aware of any misuse.

1.4 All pricing, discounts, and promotions offered by Interiors By Sutton are exclusive to our online website and are not applicable in-store or through any other channel unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Order Process

2.1 All orders placed with Interiors By Sutton are subject to approval in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

2.2 The final details of your order are outlined in the 'confirmation' stage. Following that, we'll send you an order confirmation email with a list of the items you've ordered. This email does not constitute an order confirmation or acceptance from us. We will check necessary information, such as stock levels and pricing, once we receive your order.

2.3 Unless we have advised you that we are unable to accept your purchase or you have cancelled it, we shall accept your order and complete the contract between you and us when we send the products ordered.

2.4 By placing an order for carpets, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to a minimum order length of 1.5 meters, as specified by the width of the selected item. Orders failing to meet this minimum length requirement will not be fulfilled. In cases where the minimum order length requirement is not met due to technical malfunctions, a refund will be issued.

2.5 For customers with a wholesale, trading, or commercial account with Interiors By Sutton, a discount will be applied to all orders per the agreed terms of your account. This discount will be automatically applied at the time of order confirmation, provided the order meets the minimum quantity or value requirements specified in your account terms.

2.6 Orders placed on or before 4:59pm on the 10th December will be processed under our standard timescales; however, any orders placed after 10th December will not be processed until 5 January when full operations resume. Deliveries may continue throughout the Christmas period and on bank holidays, subject to courier availability, and any delivery times stated in these Terms will apply from the date on which order processing recommences. This schedule applies annually unless otherwise notified on our website or within order communications.

3. Delivery

3.1 This website's 'Free Delivery' service is only available to customers with mainland UK addresses who are not in the Grampian or Highland districts. Additional charges apply for orders sent to these areas, as well as for deliveries to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland, and Scottish Islands. We do not deliver to Northern Ireland or Ireland.

3.2 The estimated delivery timeframe for all items under the ‘Standard Delivery’ option is 7 to 14 working days, subject to stock availability. In cases where products are not immediately available or bespoke, this may extend to 14 to 21 working days. Delivery times may vary depending on the availability of carpets or other products. While we make every effort to deliver within these timeframes, delays may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances, such as stock shortages or supply chain disruptions.

3.3 The risk of product loss and damage falls to you on the date that the products are delivered or when we attempt the first delivery.

3.4 Your package will be delivered to the curbside of your address. On request, some drivers may deliver products to your front door or inside your property, but this is at their discretion, and we cannot guarantee that they will. We or they cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by objects brought into the property.

3.5 Interiors By Sutton strongly urges you to wait until you have received and checked your order before booking your fitter, as we are not responsible for any installation expenses or lost pay.

3.6 Some items may be heavier than the driver can lift alone. In these cases, it is the customer's responsibility to arrange for equipment or personnel to assist with unloading or to request smaller cut-down sizes that can be delivered curbside.

3.7 Bespoke items, such as stair runners requiring specialized edging, require approximately 14 to 21 working days for completion. These timeframes are estimates, subject to manufacturing variability.

4. Payment

4.1 We charge your card or PayPal account after we receive your order, verifying the order value and card or PayPal information. If we cannot fulfill the goods you have requested, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund if payment has been made.

4.2 We will authenticate your name, address, and other personal information submitted by you throughout the order process against suitable third-party databases. You consent to such checks by accepting these Terms & Conditions. All information you supply will be treated with care and in adherence to applicable privacy laws.

4.3 The price you pay is the price listed on the product page of this website at the time we receive your order for your specified size(s). If there is an error in the pricing of items you've ordered, we will inform you as quickly as possible, allowing you the choice of reconfirming or cancelling your order at the correct price. If we are unable to contact you, your order will be cancelled, and any payment already made will be refunded.

4.4 Payment can be made by PayPal or debit/credit cards.

4.5 Ownership of products passes to you upon delivery, provided we have received full payment for the order.

4.6 All prices are in GBP sterling and include VAT at the applicable rate. VAT is charged on all goods and services supplied by Interiors By Sutton, and VAT invoices will be issued for all purchases upon request.

4.6A Orders placed before 1 January 2026 were not subject to VAT. All orders placed on or after 1 January 2026 will include VAT at the applicable rate, regardless of the delivery date.

4.7 If a deposit has been paid, full payment must be completed before delivery. Interiors By Sutton is not responsible for the contractual agreements between you and any fitter. Should you choose to accept the services of a recommended fitter, any matters related to fitting issues must be communicated directly between you and the fitter.

4.8 All quotations or estimates issued by Interiors By Sutton, whether for trade, commercial, or non-trade customers, are valid for a period of 10 (ten) days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. After this period, quotations may be subject to revision or withdrawal without notice, particularly where manufacturer pricing, availability, or promotional discounts change. Acceptance of a quotation within the validity period does not constitute a binding contract until an order is placed, confirmed, and payment is received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

5. Returns, Cancellations, and Substitutions

5.1 When ordering from Interiors By Sutton online or over the phone, you have the legal right to cancel and return your order within 14 days of receiving it, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

This right does not apply to:

  • Carpets, rugs, and runners cut to your specifications.
  • Perishable goods.
  • Items unsealed after delivery that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons (e.g., fitted carpet).
  • To be eligible for a return, the item(s) must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as received.

5.2 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for any product that is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described.

  • If an item is faulty or damaged, please inform us as soon as possible at support@interiorsbysutton.com.
  • Items must not be altered, assembled, or cut if found to be faulty or damaged (e.g., assembled stairrods or cut carpets), as this may void eligibility for a refund or replacement.
  • Interiors By Sutton will arrange for the collection and replacement of faulty or damaged goods at no additional cost to you.
  • The natural variations, irregularities, shading, or imperfections described in Section 9.7 are inherent to all hand-made carpets, regardless of manufacturer, and are not considered grounds for a return, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Customers are deemed to have accepted these characteristics as part of the purchase when ordering.

5.3 In rare cases, if manufacturer specifications change, Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to provide a comparable replacement. If dissatisfied with the substitution, you may return the item within 30 days for a refund.

5.4 All returns must be securely wrapped and ready for curbside collection, as drivers may require assistance with loading heavy items.

  • For unwanted items that are not faulty or damaged, Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to charge a 5% restocking fee to cover handling and administrative costs. This fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
  • The 5% restocking fee does not apply to:
    • Returns made within the 14-day cooling-off period, provided the items are in their original condition.
    • Returns of faulty or damaged goods.
  • Customers may use our collection service for a standard fee of £49.98, regardless of the load of the carpets or items, or are free to arrange their own return shipping.

5.5 For assistance with a return or to arrange a collection, please contact support@interiorsbysutton.com. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return and issued to the original payment method.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 All content and materials on this website are owned by us or our licensors and may only be used if expressly authorized.

7. Liability and Indemnity

7.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal damage caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be restricted under applicable law.

7.2 We make no representation or warranty of any kind regarding the site's contents or availability.

7.3 We are not liable for indirect losses or economic losses arising from the use of this website.

8. Miscellaneous Provisions

8.1 The contract between us will be governed by English law.

8.2 These Terms and Conditions, including any documents referenced, represent the entire agreement.

9. Carpet, Rug, Runner & Flooring Specific Conditions of Sale

9.1 Remove all packaging and thoroughly inspect the ordered item(s) before booking your flooring fitter to confirm they meet your expectations.

9.2 Staples or sharp items may be found in packaging. Please ensure these are removed before installation. Interiors By Sutton is not responsible for any accidents from items being installed without a thorough check.

9.3 If a carpet length is below 2.5 meters, a £39.98 cutting charge applies.

9.4 Please be aware that we cannot guarantee an identical color match between samples and the final product, as well as between different rolls. Due to dye batch variations, slight differences in shade may occur between the sample provided and the final order. If an exact color match is critical, please let us know when placing your order, and we will do our best to assist, though a precise match cannot be guaranteed, especially when ordering different widths or on separate dates.

9.5 Pile carpets may show shading due to usage, which is inherent to all pile materials and not considered a defect.

9.6 All dimensions adhere to British Standards 3655 (1974) with a tolerance of +/- 1.25% in width and/or length.

9.7 Hand-Made Carpet Specific Conditions

9.7.1 Our hand-made carpets (including but not limited to the Barefoot, Plush, and similar ranges supplied by Alternative Flooring or other manufacturers) are luxury handcrafted textiles, produced using traditional techniques and sold internationally. Due to the artisanal nature of these products, customers should be aware of the following before purchase:

  • Hand-made carpets will not display a machine-made finish. As with all hand-crafted textiles, irregularities, natural variations, and minor imperfections may occur across the surface. These are inherent characteristics of the craft and not considered defects.

  • Joining or seaming a hand-made carpet may be more challenging than with machine-made alternatives, as pile heights and finishes can vary.

9.7.2 Product-specific considerations:

  • Hand-made carpets produced from undyed yarns (e.g., Barefoot ranges) may show slight variations in colour compared to samples. If colour matching is critical, we strongly recommend ordering a current stock sample before purchase.

  • Certain hand-made carpets (e.g., Barefoot Bikram and Plush ranges) will naturally exhibit shading, pile pressure marks, or variations in surface appearance. These effects are expected and are not faults.

9.7.3 By placing an order for any hand-made carpet, you acknowledge and accept the above characteristics as part of the natural and unique qualities of these products.

10. Product Warranties and Guarantees

10.1 All products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, details of which are provided at purchase.

11. Customer Responsibilities

11.1 Customers must ensure all measurements provided are accurate.

11.2 We recommend fitters but do not provide fitting services. Customers are responsible for arranging installation.

12. Carpet Samples Policy

12.1 Customers may request up to five (5) free carpet samples per order.

12.2 Each sample is typically 10cm x 10cm, but sizes may vary depending on the manufacturer.

12.3 If other suppliers introduce charges for samples, Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to implement a maximum charge of £1 per sample, unless stated otherwise, to prevent system abuse.

12.4 All sample deliveries are free of charge within the UK mainland.

12.5 Standard sample delivery times may vary, and Interiors By Sutton aims to dispatch samples as promptly as possible.

12.6 Customers who place a full carpet order through Interiors By Sutton will be reimbursed for any sample charges incurred, provided the order is placed directly with Interiors By Sutton.

12.7 The colour and texture of samples may not be an exact match to the final product due to dye batch variations and manufacturing differences.

12.8 For hand-made carpets (including but not limited to Barefoot, Plush, and other ranges supplied by Alternative Flooring or any other manufacturer), samples are provided as a general guide only. Due to the artisanal nature of these products:

  • Samples may not display the same surface finish, shading, or irregularities that occur in full-sized hand-made carpets.

  • Colour variations between samples and the final delivered product may arise, particularly where undyed yarns are used.

  • The presence of natural imperfections, pile shading, or surface variations in the supplied carpet is an inherent characteristic of hand-crafted textiles and not considered a fault.

Customers requiring a critical colour or finish match should request a current stock sample at the time of ordering.

12.9 Customers requiring an exact colour match should inform Interiors By Sutton at the time of ordering. While efforts will be made to provide the closest match, no liability is accepted for minor shade variations.

12.10 Sample requests are for personal, non-commercial use only.

12.11 Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to limit or refuse sample requests if misuse or excessive ordering is suspected.

12.12 If a customer places multiple sample orders, Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to limit or refuse additional requests if system abuse is suspected.

12.13 Free sample delivery applies only to mainland UK. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or other remote areas may be subject to additional charges or restrictions.

12.14 Sample reimbursement applies only if the full carpet order is placed within 60 days of the sample request. Orders placed after this timeframe will not be eligible for reimbursement.

12.15 Interiors By Sutton is not liable for samples lost or damaged in transit. Customers may request replacements, subject to availability.

12.16 For trade, wholesale, or commercial sample requests, please contact Interiors By Sutton to discuss bulk sample options.

12.17 This policy complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, ensuring fair and transparent sample distribution.

13. Sales and Promotions General Terms

13.1 These terms and conditions ("Promotion Terms") apply to all sales, discounts, promotions, and offers ("Promotions") advertised by Interiors by Sutton Ltd (referred to as "Interiors By Sutton/interiorsbysutton.com/we/our/us/the Company") on its website or through other channels.

13.2 By participating in a Promotion, customers agree to these Promotion Terms, the general Terms of Service, and any additional terms specific to a Promotion as stated in related promotional materials.

13.3 Promotions are subject to UK law, including but not limited to the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 ("CPRs"), the CAP Code, and applicable pricing and advertising regulations.

13.4 Interiors by Sutton reserves the right to amend these Promotion Terms or terminate any Promotion without prior notice if required for compliance, operational, or legal reasons.

13.5 Where a quotation or estimate has been issued in connection with a sale, promotion, or manufacturer-supported discount, the validity period may be shorter than the standard period set out in clause 4.8. The specific validity period will be stated on the quotation or promotional material. After the stated validity period, Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to withdraw or amend the promotional quotation without notice. All promotional quotations remain subject to product availability and manufacturer pricing at the time of order confirmation.

14. Sales and Promotions General Eligibility

14.1 Promotions are open to individuals who are:

  • Residents of the United Kingdom.
  • Aged 18 or over (unless specified otherwise in individual promotion terms).

14.2 Promotions are valid for individual customers purchasing for personal, non-commercial use.

14.3 Employees, affiliates, and partners of Interiors by Sutton, as well as their immediate families, may be excluded from specific Promotions unless explicitly permitted.

14.4 Entries or purchases through automated methods, false accounts, or other fraudulent means are prohibited and may result in disqualification.

15. Duration of Promotions

15.1 Each Promotion will have specific start and end dates and times, which will be clearly stated on the Company’s website or marketing materials.

15.2 Any purchase or entry made outside the stated promotional period will not qualify for the Promotion.

15.3 Interiors by Sutton reserves the right to modify or terminate a Promotion early if:

  • Errors occur in promotional materials or systems.
  • Fraud or abuse is detected.
  • External circumstances make it impractical to continue.

16. Pricing and Discounts

16.1 All advertised discounts and prices are accurate at the time of publication. However, errors may occasionally occur. In such cases, the Company reserves the right to correct errors and cancel affected orders.

16.2 Discounted prices represent genuine savings and comply with the guidelines under the CPRs:

  • Products advertised as "on sale" must have been offered at the original price for at least 28 consecutive days within the last six months before the promotion period, unless otherwise stated.
  • "Was/Now" pricing will always reflect accurate previous prices.

16.3 Discounts are applied only to the listed product prices and do not include applicable taxes, shipping, or handling fees unless otherwise specified.

16.4 Online promotional pricing is only available for purchases made via the Interiors by Sutton website. Promotional prices will not be honoured in any physical store locations unless explicitly stated otherwise.

17. Promotional Codes

17.1 Promotional codes ("Promo Codes") are subject to the following rules:

  • They must be entered at checkout to be applied.
  • They are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
  • They cannot be applied retroactively or combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated.
  • Promo Codes issued for use on the Interiors by Sutton website are not redeemable in physical store locations unless explicitly stated in-store.

17.2 Interiors by Sutton reserves the right to invalidate Promo Codes suspected of misuse or fraud.

18. Exclusions

18.1 Unless otherwise stated, Promotions do not apply to:

  • Gift cards.
  • Taxes, shipping, or handling fees.
  • Products marked as "Final Sale" or "Excluded from Promotion."
  • Products purchased prior to the Promotion.

18.2 Specific brands, categories, or collections may be excluded from Promotions. These exclusions will be clearly stated in the promotional materials.

19. Sales and Promotions General Refunds and Returns

19.1 Products purchased during a Promotion are subject to the Company’s general return policy, with the following adjustments:

  • Refunds for returned items will reflect the promotional price paid, not the original retail price.
  • If a Promotion involved a "buy one, get one free" or similar offer, the refund will be adjusted accordingly to account for the value of the free item.

19.2 If a customer returns part of an order that no longer meets the Promotion’s requirements (e.g., minimum spend threshold), the refund may be recalculated to remove the discount applied.

20. Fraudulent Activity

20.1 Any misuse, manipulation, or fraudulent activity in connection with Promotions may result in:

  • Cancellation of orders.
  • Disqualification from future Promotions.
  • Legal action where appropriate.

21. Limitation of Liability

21.1 Our liability for any claim is limited to the product's purchase price.

23.1 Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

24. Price Match Terms of Service

24.1 Interiors By Sutton offers a Price Match Guarantee as a discretionary goodwill policy. This policy is not a contractual obligation and may be amended, declined, or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.

Eligibility Criteria

24.2 To qualify for a price match, all of the following must apply:

  • The competitor must be a UK-based business, whether VAT-registered or not, with a fully operational e-commerce website or physical retail premises. To be eligible, the competitor must provide a valid quotation or invoice that includes their official business details, your name and address information, and a clear, current date. The document must be issued from a legitimate quoting or invoicing system associated with the competitor’s business.
  • The product must be identical in every respect (brand, range, dimensions, material, colour, finish, and condition).
  • The product must be in new condition and available for immediate dispatch from the competitor.
  • The competitor’s total price (including delivery and VAT if applicable) must be verifiable at the time of the request.

24.3 Interiors By Sutton will not match prices on the following:

  • Products sold by marketplaces (e.g., eBay, Amazon Marketplace, Facebook Marketplace).
  • Private sellers, trade-only suppliers, or membership-based retailers (e.g., Selco, Costco).
  • Clearance items, end-of-line products, remnants, roll ends, or short cuts.
  • Products on auction, flash sales, or temporary discount errors.
  • Items sold with bundled deals, loyalty points, referral bonuses, or private discount codes.

Submitting a Request

24.4 Price match requests must be submitted prior to placing an order via email. Requests must include a valid URL or a screenshot showing the competitor’s live offer, including pricing, product details, and availability. Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to contact the competitor to verify the offer.

Commercial Discretion

24.5 Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to reject a price match request if:

  • The competitor’s offer cannot be reasonably verified.
  • The product is materially different, unavailable, or misrepresented.
  • Fulfilling the match would be commercially unviable or result in financial loss.
  • We believe the request is fraudulent or submitted in bad faith.

Conditions and Limitations

24.6 If approved, the matched price will be honoured for 24 hours. One price match per order is permitted. Price matches cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions unless explicitly stated.

24.7 We reserve the right to limit the frequency of price match requests per customer and to refuse future matches if misuse is suspected.

24.8 This Price Match Terms of Service forms part of our overall Terms and Conditions and is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

25. Appointment Booking Fee, Credit, and Cancellation Policy

25.1 To secure an in-home consultation appointment with Interiors By Sutton, a booking fee of £49.98 is required at the time of scheduling. This fee reserves your chosen time slot and contributes towards administrative and scheduling costs.

25.2 The booking fee is non-refundable, except in the specific circumstances outlined in clauses 25.4 and 25.5. By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that the £49.98 fee does not constitute a deposit toward a product purchase unless stated otherwise.

25.3 Booking Fee Credit Toward Purchase: Should you choose to proceed with a carpet purchase through Interiors By Sutton following your consultation, the full £49.98 booking fee will be applied as a credit toward your final invoice.

25.4 Cancellation Policy – 24 Hours Notice:
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by providing a minimum of 24 hours' notice before your scheduled appointment time. In this case, you are entitled to a full refund of the £49.98 booking fee. Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to support@interiorsbysutton.com or by calling 0121 369 0727.

25.5 Late Cancellations and No-Shows:
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, or failure to attend the appointment (no-show), will result in the forfeiture of the £49.98 booking fee, which will be retained to cover administrative and operational costs. No refund will be issued in these cases.

25.6 Consumer Rights and Waiver of Cooling-Off Period:
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel service contracts made at a distance (e.g. online or by phone) within 14 days. However, by booking an appointment to take place within this 14-day period and acknowledging that the service will begin within this time, you expressly agree to waive your statutory right to cancel under these regulations once the service has commenced or been scheduled.

25.7 Scope of the Service Provided:
The booking fee covers the time and expertise of our carpet specialist, travel to your location, and provision of personalised services including professional measuring, product sampling, and tailored recommendations. These services are considered fulfilled upon delivery of the appointment, irrespective of whether a product is subsequently purchased.

25.8 Exceptional Circumstances:
Interiors By Sutton reserves the right to waive or modify the cancellation terms in cases of exceptional hardship or emergency, at our sole discretion. Any such goodwill gestures do not constitute a change in policy or set precedent for future cases.

25.9 Amendments to Appointments:
We will make every effort to accommodate requests to amend appointment times or dates, subject to availability. Changes made more than 24 hours in advance will not incur a penalty. Changes within 24 hours will be treated as cancellations and subject to clause 25.5.

VAT Notice:

We are now VAT-registered as of 1 January 2026. This means that VAT is charged on all goods and services purchased from this date forward. Orders placed before 1 January 2026 were not subject to VAT. Our Terms of Service have been updated to reflect this change.

Please note: Due to recent system updates, the checkout may display “Tax included” or similar wording. This is a standard automated label and does not generate a VAT invoice or represent VAT collected for orders placed before 1 January 2026. From 1 January 2026 onward, VAT will be correctly included in our prices and VAT invoices will be issued for all eligible orders upon request.
